Terms of Service
Last updated: 31 July 2026
These Terms govern your use of Hourline("the Service"), a personal timesheet product operated as a sole-trader business from the United Kingdom. By creating an account or paying for the Service you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Hourlinelets you log work hours, customise timesheet columns, generate PDF timesheets, and email them to an employer address you provide. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate registration details and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.
3. Subscription and price
Logging shifts is free with a registered account. Sending timesheets to your employer and exporting period PDFs or CSVs require a paid subscription of £2.99 per month (GBP), billed in advance via Stripe. New subscriptions include a 30-day free trial. After the trial, your payment method is charged monthly until you cancel.
Subscriptions renew automatically. You can cancel or update payment details at any time through the Stripe customer portal linked from Billing in the app. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the current paid (or trial) period unless otherwise stated in Stripe.
4. Digital content and cooling-off
The Service is digital content supplied immediately. When you start a trial or subscription and begin using the Service, you request immediate performance and acknowledge that you lose the statutory 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations once the Service has begun, to the extent permitted by law. You may still cancel the subscription for future periods via the billing portal.
5. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the Service, attempt unauthorised access, abuse email sending, or use Hourline for unlawful purposes. We may suspend accounts that breach these Terms.
6. Your data
You retain ownership of the timesheet content you enter. Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for employer disputes arising from timesheets you create or send. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or other liability that cannot be limited by law. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms or the price with reasonable notice where required. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
